BEFORE AND AFTER YOU ATTEMPT THIS BINDER CAREFULLY REVIEW THE PRACTICUM PROJECT OVERALL GRADING RUBRIC AND THE ATTACHED MARKING GUIDE

This is the FULL BINDER that contains ALL THREE PARTS of the C.A.  You include all the earlier parts such as the proposal, the Gannt Chart, the Annotated Bib and the Industry Analysis as appendices to the C.A.

Now you write your Organizational Analysis AND include an Annotated Bibliography on your ISSUE i.e. OH&S or Selection or EDI etc. and INCLUDE these in your Client Analysis Binder.  Keep the Org Analysis to 4 pages or fewer and consider including a SHORT summary of the Org Analysis at the start of it.

Here ALSO you are outlining your SUGGESTED METRICS i.e. how you THINK you will measure your outcomes with DRAFT formulae for these but of course WITHOUT DATA in the formulae.

This is BUSINESS WRITING so keep in-text citations to a minimum and consider using footnotes where necessary.  Use:

  • Lots of white space
  • A ‘sans serif’ font such as Arial …. I HATE serif fonts as they are harder to read on screen
  • Section titles
  • Paragraph breaks
  • Major section tab title pages such as: Introduction, Org Analysis, Research & Alternatives, Appendix etc.  NOTE THE MAJOR DEDUCTIONS FOR OMITTING KEY PRESENTATION PIECES LIKE THIS … POOR PRESENTATION CAN OBSCURE GREAT CONTENT! SEE ATTACHED MARKING GUIDE FOR DETAILS INCLUDING DEDUCTIONS FOR MISSING SECTIONS: ANY OF PARTS 1 & 2

Please do NOT bury charts or graphs that are key to your C.A. as appendices.  For example: if your root cause analysis deployed an Ishikawa “fish bone” then include that chart in the main doc when you discuss your analysis.  It is NEVER HELPFUL to the READER to bury key info somewhere else b/c it causes the reader to lose focus on your key points.

Any time you are introducing a number of important points [such as a bunch of alternatives] first provide a numbered list of them and only THEN dig into each of them within a section that has its own title.
