Step 1: Explain what significance means in quantitative research. Explain the role that the p-value plays in interpreting significance in quantitative research (make sure to include information about what p-value is considered significant and which are non-significant and what role hypothesis testing (null hypothesis) has in determining the p-value significance). Make sure to support this discussion with specific examples to support your answer.

Step 2: What are confidence intervals? What role do these have in interpreting significance in quantitative research? How are confidence intervals (CI) different from p-values? Why would a researcher use one over the other or perhaps both?

Step 3: What is the difference between statistical and clinical significance? Why is this important when interpreting quantitative research findings?
