This is an individual assignment applying your learnings from the book, class discussion, and readings regarding Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Role: Digital Marketing Consultant

Audience: Beginning Digital Marketing Students

Format: Blog

Task: Create a Blog that addresses the differences between Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Your Blog must contain the following elements:

  • Select a Blogging Platform from the article “Free blog: the best blogging platforms,” by Craig Grannell and Jim McCauley(November 06, 2019) to create your blog. The article can be accessed by clicking the following link: .  I will only accept Blogs from the sites listed in this article (no exceptions).  Only use the free version of the tools presented.
  • 300-600 words in length
  • What is SEM?
  • Detail when and why to use SEM.
  • What is SEO?
  • Detail when and why to use SEO.
  • Make the case for why a marketing professional should use SEM and SEO in tandem
  • Provide a case study (fictitious) of how you used SEM and SEO in tandem for a past client
  • Provide one testimonial from a client (fictitious)
  • Post a link to the site (the live Blog environment). The Blog can be deleted after the assignment has been graded.)
