Virtual tour, part 2:The virtual tour; 20 points (20% of final grade)
In this part of the research project,you will apply the research that you have done and create a virtual tour ofyour chosen building for a general audience.
Your virtual tour can take the form ofyour choosing but must have a narrative component, a visualcomponent, and highlight the depth of your research. It must also include anupdated bibliography (without annotation).
write a text ofapproximately 750 words, with an accompanying image gallery or imagesintegrated throughout;
Whichever option you choose, pleasenote that you will be graded on your content and your ability to effectivelycommunicate information rather than the technical aspects of production.
Your virtual tour should address thehistory of your selected building, its features, and why it is important in theurban/Canadian landscape today (or perhaps why it is overlooked and should beseen as important!).
You do not need a thesis statement foryour text, video, or podcast since this is not a piece of academic writing, butyou should have an objective; that is, what do you want your visitor to takeaway from this experience? This will help to focus your project, and make surethat you do not feel pressured to discuss every single aspect of your chosenbuilding and/or discuss every component in the same amount of detail.
*Please note that a virtual tour doesnot mean tourism. That is, your project should focus on thebuilding itself, and not on local dining opportunities, proximity totransit, shopping, etc.
